I have experienced 445 on a tank, all highway both directions only slowing down to gas up at on/off on the NJ Turnpike. For those that have not experienced the NJT that's about 100 yards under 65 MPH. And only a couple of stoplights at each end of the trip in the middle of the night from Va. to Albany, NY roundtrip on cruise control.

About 330 per tank...that's nearly 23.5 mpg but it's all in-town stop and go (no highway) and I have a heavy foot.

I usually sit around upper 300's. Each fill up avg's about 25-26mpg. Most of my driving is about 2 miles of 65mph highway and about 5 miles 35mph city, with a reasonably heavy foot.

Fuel range does not indicate actual fait accompli I have seen 600 before.

That calculation depends on a lot of things like: fill level over time, frequency of reset, when the gas cap has been removed among other things.

Yes, removing the gas cap tells the computer that a "fill event" has occurred.

The computer knows what you are up to, get the tin foil ready for a new hat!

I just kinda use the "Fuel Range" setting as a guide. I reset my trip meter every time and do the actual calculations myself.

@theprinceofpa... you cannot reset the fuel range status. The car does this when you fill up. You can reset the trip computer by the following steps.
By pressing menu button until trip mileage comes up.
Then press and hold the button below the menu button. Looks kinda like a arrow pointing to the left.
Hope that helps.

I have an 07 LS with 233k on it. The best I've done on a single tank of fuel is 528 miles. I do approx. 300 per day and normally get between 400-475 per tank.
