Have over 46,000 on it. Will have over 50,000 on it when I get back from Telluride in a couple of weeks. Need to check the purchase date, but I think it was around Sept 20th last year. It's been a pretty good vehicle. I've run Mobil 1 5/30 since the 2nd oil change @ 10,000 miles. Rotate the tires every 20K. Haven't had the wheels balanced yet, doesn't need it! I stay rolling, and the brakes haven't been touched yet, probably won't need to be for another 30K miles. I don't stop that much

Purchased on 4/21/06 and have about 4600 miles on it. First oil change at just before 3000 miles. With the 2.4l engine, would synthetic oil be recommended? If so, what brand would be best?

Many of the forum members have switched to synthetic oil. As with many other things, it's a matter of opinion.

I personally use Mobil 1 synthetic, but I have seen others use Amsoil, Royal Purple and many others. There is a great 9 page thread HERE.

I use canola. It's the best.

I disagree. Being Italian I'll have to say olive oil is the best.

10,200 give or take after this weekend's road trip from San Diego to Lake Havasu City and back.... made it using less than 3/4 of a tank, around 30mpg with the air on and not obeying the speed limits (80-ish)... But always letting someone go faster than me....
