Nice to see so many cash buyers. (even if they are buying new and taking a huge depeciation hit for that 20 seconds the wheels go from the dealer lot and the street when it instantly becomes another used car) Although dealer do not care for cash buyers to them EVERYONE is a cash buyer because they gt cas h from the bank for every car except they don't get the 1-2% INTEREST spiff with that cash. Dealers nowadays prefer to finance. Thats why I always us financing to MAKE the deal and then pay the car off with the first payment depending on how much I saved and whether or not the first month's interest is more than my cash savings. AS you can tell I am a Clarkhoward.com fan. LOL Without that guy, We would be in debt for sure.

Gives me faith in people and the economy in general.

To the Guy who got his SS for $23000 Great deal. Im not a new car byer but that would be hard to pass up. I am not a new bike buyer either but the deal on the 2007 Yanaha was hard to pass up as well.

2 words.... negative equity

No way I am telling my payment, but I traded in a Montana that we had a lemon law claim on, if that tells ya anything
But I love my HHR and that is all that matters and so far no issues like w/ my van.

Old thread, but I saw this.... I didn't really put any down, I just paid cash for the tax, title, license, and all those goodies. Basically, I just pay for the HHR. Each month it's $199, for 60 mo. Looks like I'm going to be doing some double payments!

NEW payment is now $000. Wife was laid off in March, my hours were cut from 55 per week to 32.Usually traded my car every 24 to 36 months so decided to pay it and the house off and keep the HHR for a longer period of time.
