vintage GM accessory guide traffic light viewer finder | eBay

I bought one from a HHR vendor on this site years ago. I don't think he still sells stuff on the site any more. I use it all the time. The one I bought is like one of the $7.95-$10. ones on the Ebay site.

I just stop a few feet more back. It looks pretty dumb when I do it but it does the job.

It's made for seeing traffic light for vehicles with low windshields. There are different versions out there. They were popular in the 50's and are now being reproduced. I paid about 40.00 bucks for mine brand new from ebay

I'm 6'2 and had a little problem with my knee hitting the radio, I just change the seating a little and now it doesn't bother me.

I got one of these. http://www.ebay.com/itm/WIDE-ANGLE-REAR-WINDOW-LENS-FRESNEL-VIEW-OPTICAL-8-x10-/230393166492?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35a480ba9c
I trimmed off the top 2" of it and stuck it to the windshield. The bottom half of the lens has too much angle. I have some small intersections in my small town and this was necessary. The problem with stopping farther back is you're not over the sensor wire and the light won't change for you on a rural intersection. The green lights look a little small but it's all you need.

yea me too i stop a little farther back now and the fact that my visor wont stay up and i have it crammed behind the mirror doesn't help matters. But i really had problems with right hand turns and curbs Casualty total to date:

2 tires
2 rims
2 alignments
