I Can't See Traffic Lights

Hey Everyone, Newbie here with a question that I haven't found an answer to since I bought my HHR new in '09. If I'm first in line at most stop lights, I can't see the lights... at all. I'm not a tall guy, in fact I think I'm about average at 5'10", but I have to peer under the windshield header if I want to see the light turn green. I've set my seat down as low as possible, but I have to wonder if I'm missing something because it's a power seat.

If anyone out there has had the same experience & you figured out a fix... I'm all ears.

Thanks for your help guys,
Greg.

to the forum!

What you need is a Prismatic Traffic Light Viewer, here's a link to where I got mine.

LightInSight - Windshield Mounted Traffic Light Lens

It's a case of "what's old, is new again", back in the 30's-50's gadgets like these were pretty popular.

Or stop about 5 feet further back (depending on your size).

This is one of the first complaints when the HHR first was introduced ......and on this forum.

Really doesn't matter much, but if you are interested you might try a search and see if it will locate some old threads on this issue from early '06 into 2007.

You should come to a NW group meeting. We have some classes available on how to navigate Seattle traffic with your HHR.

Welcome to the site the lightinsight works well or you can go old school and mount a prism on the dash.

My prism is just like the one in Lucky's post, works great, and I'm 6 foot 5 inches tall

5 years of ownership and still haven't figured out that you need to stop a little further back at red lights?

You're a quick learner aren't ya?

Sorry... I just couldn't resist

Welcomw to the site. I am 5'9" with the seat down. I have just got used to leaning down when I have to. Though around here a lot of the lights have the line on the road far enough back tha tit is not a problem unless the light is in front of the sun.
