Over the weekend, I closed the doors and windows (can't do this long in Texas) so the wind wouldn't carry any smells away. It was most concentrated around the center console. I popped the cover off, and yes indeedy, it STUNK. I was hesitant to remove the airbag control module, so it goes to the dealer again tomorrow. Heeeere's hopin!

They found it!

The little stinker (literally) was under the carpet, under the passenger front seat. When I went to the dealer to pick up the car, they insisted I come out to the shop. They had what was left of the mouse's head mounted on a little wood plaque, and hanging on the wall.

Of course, now everybody refers to my H as the Mousemobile.

That's funny as hell! Talk about a "dash plaque" for your Mousemobile. But glad they finally found it for you.

The Mousemobile is kind of catchy and it literally made me laugh out loud.

Back in my field-engineer days in the late '70's, I had several calls relating to the computer terminals installed in car dealerships getting hot and stinky, especially in winter months. A spinning power-supply fan (these were not the current PC-style power supplies with all the grilles and finger guards) makes a sloppy but effective guillotine and what's left of the violently-deceased rodent jams up the fan. Power supply gets hot and voila! Roast Rodent Remains ala TI-742!. Rodent damage was NOT covered under their contracts, which on more than one occasion made an irate client into the nicest guy you ever wanted to meet (I still billed 'em!)

The squirrel cage type of fan makes for good entertainment, too!
