Chevy hates its nickname?
I am not sure if there is any posts about this but i read an article in the buffalo news that said that chevy was trying to get rid of there nickname and wants to be known as "chevrolet". anybody else think its gonna be nearly impossible? i dont think i ever called my car a chevrolet HHR.

Still good topic for conversation, but for some more warmed over info, Cadillac also wants to disassociate it's name with GM. Many have heard; many have not.
I think that the American public will always call a Chevy a Chevy and will always know that Cadillac is a GM vehicle. But then again, they're buying Toyotas again, which doesn't say much about their attention span.
