I LOVE my HHR!

I filled up with gasoline Friday evening. Saturday, I ran a few errands and then my wife & I drove to Houston (from Austin about 186 miles each way), to attend a memorial service for an old friend who passed away last week. I filled up with gas again yesterday. 389 miles, 13.944 gallons = 27.9 mpg, not bad!. I have lowered it and have a rear way bar. But, the thing that I like the most is the way my HHR drives on the highway. I set the cruise to 79 mph and let it roll. This car drives like it is on rails! Solid! Just enough understeer to put it exactly where you want it when you turn! Very, if any, roll in the turns. Very quick. I LOVE it!!!

Sounds like fun, too. Yes, it may be built in Mexico, and there may be an awful lot of plastic, but this car drives solid.

My wife bought an '07 Golder Teal LT with roof rails and running boards in September. My 2002 Monte Carlo had anothe year til pay-off and the warranty ran out in another 14k miles. So I made a great trade. It is more fun to drive than any other I have ever owned ('64 Chevy, '64 VW, '65 VW Karmann Ghia, '68 Chevy, '65 Ford Station Wagon, '79 Grand Prix, '83 Grand Prix, '90 Grand Prix, '69 VW & '73 VW - (project cars) and '02 Monte Carlo). Still have the '73 VW - it is a hot rod (two barrel carb, stinger exhaust, oil cooler, blue coil, 09 distributor, custom seats and shifter, 8 EMPI 8 spoke wheels, adjustable front beam, etc.). I will sell the VW.
