If Key Is Stuck While Running, Pull Fuel Pump Fuse

My key was stuck while the car was running. Took it to the dealer, and they pulled the fuse for the fuel pump (#13?), and the car died out.

They fixed it for me without cost. I think it was the ignition cylinder, I don't think they replaced anything with the shifter. The bill was only $122 (but I didn't have to pay anything).

I had received a couple recall notices, but didn't take it in soon enough. I would recommend you take it in, with or without a recall notice, as soon as you can.

Two things I tried at home to get it to die out were to cover the big air intake line, and to cover the back exhaust pipe. Neither had an effect on the engine.

Glad you got it resolved. Looks like the dealer was on top of things. :-)

We are very happy to hear that everything was fixed and you didn't have to pay the $122. If you have any further questions or concerns please let me know.

Yup its happened to a few of us on here, me included. However I think its easier to pull the fuel pump relay instead of the fuse. The relay is a big grey block, easier to get a hold of.
