Interior trim piece

Hi, I just purchased a used 2008 HHR LT2 (only 10K miles on clock!) and under the front seat I found an interior trim piece that I can't identify and can't figure out where it goes. Nothing seems to be missing anywhere (unless I'm going blind!) Anyway, the GM part seems to either #22729323 LH or #812405942. It also says >HCPP< then MON. 475

Inside three individual (what looks like) sunburst designs with one number inside each design is 4 5 6

Thanks,
Lysle

Don't know the proper name but it is a kick plate that covers the area from the base of the door opening to the carpet. That notched area is where there is a rise in the floor by the base of the drivers seat. Maybe they were replaced, other wise you will see the metal of the car frame channel where wire are run. Hopefully someone will be able to post a pic of the area.

The number 812405942 you listed is the same number on mine.

Thank you very much! It was driving me NUTS and you were correct. It looks like the part was replaced by the previous owner and they just left the old piece on the floor in the back. Now, I can just throw it away!

I think that it is for the REAR door opening. At least I have a piece like that there, not in the front.
