I just ordered a second multiswitch to rule that out again. I'm not sure I would know what to look for or how to fix the fuse box if there is an issue there

Basically take it apart and put it back together with dielectric grease. This guy shows how to.

I don't see it as the multi switch it only controls one system at a time.

Thanks donbrew I will watch that video when I get out of work. I have the other switch on the way so it's worth trying again. I have used die electric grease on all my connections so I have enough left if I have to go that route

sorry for the stupid question but are you considering high and low beams as one system or two?

4 + DRL. relays for lo and high with fuses for each high and lo. left has a ground and right has a ground. There is no connection between the R & L or H & L.

The only place common is the connections inside the fuse box where the H & L relays connect. We never found out if the DRL works.

The multi-switch sends a signal to the BCM, then the BCM sends a signal to whichever relay it needs. So if it was bad both lows or both highs would be involved.

If you look at the wiring diagram you can see all of this.

The drl does work everytime I check but it's hard to check driving in the daytime. I do know that everything is seperated but I wasn't sure if the switch considered the high/low beam as one system or two. Every time I've noticed the light go out both high and low go out at the same time. Mostly just on the drivers side but sometimes both sides.

One thing I forgot to ask, being that the drl is separate then shouldn't that stay on if the lights go out?

If the BCM turned the headlights off it would turn the DRL on.

There wasn't any time that they went off and the DRL came on with any of the 3 sets of bulbs in there. The ac Delco switch I bought on Amazon wasn't any good so I returned it. I generally buy from rock auto but they didn't have Delco's and the two they offered didn't have the greatest reviews so this time around I ordered one from a1auto. I have never ordered parts from them before so we will se how that works out when I get it on Tuesday
