Introducing Balerion

I got my HHR monday, finalized the paperwork yesterday. It is a 2011 2LT, 2.4L, black granite metallic with ebony interior. A little over 7700 miles.

Already pulled the dealer-installed silver pinstripes off... looks much better without them. Today was very windy and dusty, need to wash it again.

Need to get some accessories: rear bumper fascia protector, cargo net, and splash guards.

Planned mods:
  • Third brakelight overlay
  • K&N air filter
  • Vent Visors all around
  • One bar grille
  • Body color mirrors, door handles, and beauty bar
  • Black DEPO headlights
  • Lower grille insert

I won't be messing with the bowties. When I paint the grille and beauty bar I'm going to to leave them and their chrome surrounds as is. In fact, I found some valve stem caps on Amazon that will match them.

Possible mods:
  • Rerouted air intake
  • LED footwell lights
  • Leveling springs
  • Trifecta tune
  • Side reflector overlays with circular cutouts

The name Balerion comes from A Song of Ice and Fire by George R R Martin. Some of you may know better as the HBO series Game of Thrones.

Even better is that it was a Hertz rental and it's about as clean as can be. Also, I haven't had my own ride since July 2009 when I got rid of my dead 94 Grand Am.

I do know the LT's are very dependable and good on gas. My girlfriend is currently looking at a 06 LS with roughly 34000 miles. She likes the positives of the car and all the room for her groceries. lol
