Is it an autofocus illuminator that's putting an orange tint in the middle of some of your closeup pics?
you need to do the recall on your dashtop box, but I don't think it does anything about the rattle.

 

A 2009 shouldn't need the "fix" for the latch.

 

I hadn't seen a 2009 assembly, I see it has alignment pins that presumably stop the lid part of the latch being pushed out of line with the bar, but I don't see anything that'll stop objects hitting the 'hook' part like the recall shroud does?

 

ChevyMgr used to have the link for this fix in his sig. Maybe he will answer this but I had looked and the "fix" looked different than my 2009 but I'm pretty sure it also said my 2009 didn't need the fix.

 

Thanks pg318, I noticed the orange tint in the center of those photos also! Those pics were taken with my cell phone camera so they're not the best quality. I asked the Service Advisor about any recalls and he said my 2009 HHR was up to date.
