Yeah, I figured that was it since I could never get the green light. Just can't figure out why. I tried the marked ground point as well as other obvious ground points like bolts. Not a big deal. I got it figured out. Just wondered if anyone else had ever had the same situation.

 

In Texas when we can't get a good ground, we use our belt buckles.

 

I used to live in Dallas... Plano actually. Had this very cool 'bull rider'. Not earned of course, just bought. I'm a country singer, not a rodeo cowboy! haha

 

Ok back to your problem... is there a bare stud/bolt on the radiator support... on the engine side... under a slight lip... hard to see if you are looking straight down... infront of the coil cover about 6 or 8 inches... it s on my 2006 and seems to be a good ground.

I appreciate that. I honestly haven't had time to look. But if there is a better grounding point up there, it is a lot easier than getting to the battery.

 

My philosophy is any where I can get a spark is where I put it.

 

if you put the ground cable on the stud at the back of the fuse box... you will get a spark... a big spark... and then you steering won t work

 

And what makes you think I didn't know that one? Short answer please.
