Skeptical

Don't mean to sound skeptical, but over the years every manufacturer has come out with some kind of "limited" edition vehicle. To me it means it is limited to how many they can sell of this particular model.

Wow!

I never knew that there were only 2600 of the spring edition made. I have one and I know I sold 2 when I was on the sales floor. I've seen at least 3 others in my area.

Just watch out for the dealer created "special editions" - they are often (but not always) poorly done though the real problem is down the road when you try to replace an odd stripe, wheel, badge or seat cover that they got from an aftermarket house. Accidents do happen and getting non-OE parts for a 2 or 3 year old kit can be rough. Real special editions can be found on the Chevy website and found at many different dealers.

When I picked up Stitch II, my salesman offered me pinstriping for a little bit of extra money. I also noticed an ad on his desk promoting aftermarket goodies that they would install themselves (DVD A/V packages and dash trim kits). I passed on these, because I figured if I wanted striping I'd do it myself ... which I'm planning on doing next week if the weather holds ...
