Just set the low bar for ethnic engineering

I am officially claiming title of total lazy cheapass. I just mounted my front license plate with sticky back velcro tape. Hey it's cool, easy to adjust, off-center to the passenger side, easy to steal.

What ethnicity you say?

Finish American. Not only are we stubborn, we're cheap!

Yeah, OK. When I must take it to the dealer, I'll have them put the bracket on. I don't have a pop-rivet tool.

I creased the plate and frame and screwed them directly to the bumper insert. If you put bolts in the bottom of the plate it will sturdy it up and give it the right look...

Thanks, hadn't thought of that.

Nice photograph BTW. Love the background setting, and the muddy tires.

This velcroe parctice is illegal in NJ. Law specifically states how your plate must be fastened.

Illegal in NY, also. I had a car that I wired the plate on,and was told by the local constable to change it. He said it made it too easy to get my plate stolen.
