Key FOB...hhr SS
Key FOB...hhr SS
Hi, was uo at the dealership and they said a new key FOB for my 2008 SS was $140 and $40 to install. That is ridiculous. Does anyone know who sells these for a cheaper price?
Thanks in advance!

IMO, just take it to the dealer and pay them.
In my other Chev...
I wasted alot of $ & effort fixing my fobs, and they hardly last long enough to make it worthwhile. Sent it off for repair once, and tried the pads myself also. Then added a whole new (off brand) keyless system - that constantly sets off the alarm system.
Next time I just just pay them, plus your quoted price was better than I was quoted.

Father in law got some fobs from ebay, not sure of the site but cheap plastic and I dropped the key and it chipped the whole front off which now if im not careful the fob opens up. Kinda annoyed but I did not pay for it. He gets free programming and I think he paid very little so no big deal.
But I will be checking Remote Supermarket next time around for a pair.

Yeah eBay. I bought mine for $35 on eBay. My dealer (Youngs in Owosso, MI) changed my ignition at the same time, programed my FOB and 3 keys for only $16.00. My eBay FOB is fine and works great, even remote start.
