Keys

I went shopping for a new key this week, as I just have the one and a spare is a necessity. Best price I could find was at Orchard Supply Hardware (good old OSH). $60. Cheaper than the dealer but still >whew<
They checked to see if they could make just a key without the rfid, but reported that that size blank wasn't available. Off to Ace Hardware. They couldn't make the rfid key but checked their blanks and for less than $5 I now have a key that will at least get me in the door in case of a lock out.
I'll splurge for a proper spare after more shopping. Anyone find better prices? Thanks.

Have you had the ignition switch Recall work done ? It's the best deal because you get 2 new chip keys included.............Free.

And BTW, the procedure to make your new transponder work is in your Owner Manual.
