I know this thread is old, but I found it while looking to repair damage to my 06. I found two good matching fenders at a local salvage yard for $50 each. I have never done this before, but it took less than an hour to pull the inner fenders, pull the bumper cover, remove damaged fenders, and put it all back together.

Alignment was a non issue and my car looks great again. Do not be afraid to try this yourself.

As far as paint, I didn't need any, but I have done some nice jobs with a $100 compressor and $20 Harbour Freight spray gun.
