Lighted Rear Window Control Switches

Hi everyone, I've been wondering if anyone here has thought of installing front (lighted)window control switches in the rear doors. (not lighted) Or using rear window control switches from a Cobalt in their HHR. The Cobalt switches are lighted while the HHR's are not. The switches appear to be the same in appearance, at least from the outside. Is there already a power source in the rear doors for a lighted accessory? Where would such a source be tapped from if there is not one there already? I'd like to try to do something like that.

Hi again all, I am still trying to find a way to light the rear window control switches. Do any of you know where I can get a wiring diagram of the window switch circuit for all four doors? Once I have that, I think I can figure out a way to do this. I know lots of you have removed your door panels for various reasons. Can anyone tell me if the rear door switch harnesses plug into the body harness inside the door, or are they hard wired to the main harness? I'd appreciate any info on this. Thanks in advance.

Shoot me a PM with your e-mail address and I can send you what wiring diagrams I have as PDF files.
