Looking to buy a 2006 HHR

So I need some help.

I have a choice from 2 HHRs

2006 LS for $2500 with 113000 miles auto trans.

2006 LT for $3300 with 118000 miles manual trans.

What is the best way to go?

Thank you in advance

Well I like manuals and the LT will have a few more options.

And DONE!!

Seriously though, all your preference. Manual transmissions are fun unless your commute home every night is in 1 hour of rush hour! Personally, I like the stick shifts. Im thinking about converting my LT I'm dropping the SS engine in.

Welcome to the site, I'm really enjoying our HHRs. Bought an 08 SS for the wife back in May, now I own 3! There are plenty left for anyone who wants one Blue...besides I only buy broken ones and give them a new life!

Thanks guys for the warm welcome.

The 2006 LT was in bad shape so I took a pass on it.

I found close by a 2008 LT automatic trans with 120k for $3500 was in great shape except some oxidation on the hood. Drove it 500 miles already and I am happy with it.

The tire pressure light stays on even after having the tires filled correctly, key fob does not work and the air in coming out of the vents seems to be low. I can do a search and dig in on these but just wondering if any are a big deal. What do you think?

Being that it's an '08, the batteries in the TPMS sensors might be dying, and the sensors might need replacing.

The key fob battery is also probably dead, they're easy enough to change, do a Search for "Key Fob" and you'll find battery changing info. Plus a way to repair your fob if the battery hold down is loose, or if the button contacts have worn out.

Poor airflow from the vents can be just a clogged cabin air filter, some folks never change them and when they're totally clogged up...low airflow is a classic symptom.

Check our "How To" section or your owners manual for info on changing the filter. It's a pretty easy job, only a bit of standing on your head is required.

P.S. aboard!

x2 what they all said. And if you need an Owners Manual, or want one to download on your phone/tablet/computer, you can download one from here: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/gene...s-manual-3074/

Welcome, welcome welcome.

But Dan, I am serious!! I test drove my 07 in September 07, had to clear the purchase with Sweetie, while we were discussing it, the dealer traded it to Simcoe , Ontario and they had it sold!
I found it traded back in , in November 2009, test drove it for 2 hours! This time we bought it!!
It told me to get it ! It's been a great little ride , comfy on the long drives, economical, and easy for me to maintain!
300,000 klms and 6 years later, we're still happy !!
