Looking for photos and info on hitches and trailers for bikes

I don't want the cadillac of stuff, just a used trailer to put our bikes on, so we can ride in different areas. His is 80" long, and mine is 29" wide back wheel to wheel, a trike -

I want to see what the hitch looks like on an HHR, and what it really costs to buy/put one on.

If you have a trailer like I could use, can you please post a photo of yours so I know what to look for?

If you have ideas of where I can get a kit to build it myself (volunteering hubby here), please provide a link.

...and of course, PM me if you have a little rig for sale in soCal.

I went to my local U-haul retailer and had a hitch installed for $165. I use it for light trailer hauling and 3-4 bike rack. Quite satisfied.

I didn't think it would be that easy. I had thought that the cars weren't set up well for adding a hitch. Thanks for that.

Show a photo, of a hitch on your car, okay?

I have a hitchhaul and a 4x6 tilt trailer. Sorry no pics with those hooked up. Easy to install.

This is the Curt I installed myself, very easy install. I'm using the Xport Flatbed from Performance (doesn't support a trike), 48X20 cargo carrier, and recently picked up a Malone kayak trailer.

I went with etrailer. Curt hitch with drawbar...was $150 I think with free shipping. For $165 installed, I'd go with UHaul so I wouldn't have to lay on my back again.

Thank you!! That helps a lot. It looks like the hitch might bottom out on some driveways, but I still have the jackrabbit butt, so I might be okay.

Solman, what's a tilt trailer, does that refer to it tilting toward the ground in back for loading? Otherwise, I guess you would have to have a ramp?

Thanks, prices help: I would love to save hubby from doing this install, if possible - especially if it can be relatively inexpensive to have it done.

not solman (obviously), but am very familiar with trailers.

Tilt-deck trailer, you pull a pin (or locking device) & deck tilts, no ramps needed..

But you already had that figured out..

I have to pull into my driveway at an angle since I am on a hill. But it's the same with the wifes MPV. The hitch cover will drag slightly. Lucky both of my covers are billet, if they were plastic, they would both be long gone.... This is a decent idea of the angle I have to use, you can see my tires tracks after our winter storm last March.

This is coming in from the high side, if I have adults in the back seat in either, I have to come on from the downhill side or I will still drag. But you get used to it.
