Used car dealer in Gaithersburg classified my 2LT as a truck. I would have thought it was either a multi-purpose vehicle or a 4 door sedan. MPV would have been my first thought.

http://service.gm.com/dealerworld/vincards/ -- This is the web site I used to run my VIN for my HHR. You need to choose your model year, and then scroll to the Light Duty Truck/MPV section. I own a 2007 Fall Limited Edition Black HHR. Unfortunately, manufactured in Mexico . . .

They are were all built in Mexico at the Ramos Arizpe plant which is now being converted for Buick and Chevrolet fleet production.
