Mayday!! Parts requested!!

Hi there,

I’m THE only french and proud owner of an HHR LT 2.4L 2008.

Wonderful car and, I hope soon, with a French license plate.

My problem is to get spare parts for that car. I bought it in Belgium but the parts prices are crazy.

Like most of you, I have a brake problem with the car. After 20 000km, I had a first change under warranty but now, after 54 000km, I have the same problem and I will not find parts different from the OEM from the dealer.

The purpose of my mail is to find on the forum someone kind enough to purchase the parts from a US dealer and to ship the parts in France.

Of course, the bank transfer will be done before shipment so all will be paid in advance including transport fees. UPS works here also so might be an option unless you are using the postal service which works too.

I would need:

1 Set of pads, EBC Greenstuff 2000 Brake Pad Set - Front, part # E35DP21763 (average price $84.30)
1 set of rotors, EBC 3GD Sport Brake Disc - Front, part # E35GD7375 (average price $186.44)
And
Oil filter/spark plugs/air filter (KN if possible) for my 60 000km routine maintenance.

KN filter is part # K33332339 and average price is $45.62

All prices have been given on www.partstrain.com but if you know a cheaper dealer, that’s perfect.

For shipment and customs, all goods must be declared used if I don’t want to pay again customs fees. That how Ecklers is working for my 87‘vette and it cause no trouble.

I hope you’ll understand my problem and the fact I don’t want to leave that awesome car just because I can not get parts for it.

Thank you all for your understanding,

All my best,

Yann

All the part you have listed are available from summitracing.com and the stock parts are Available from GMparts direct.com. or many other mail order companies. They both will ship overseas and you do not have to involve anyone else in this with any bank transfers. exports are very very common for most .com companies.

I export performance parts daily and have happy GM customers all over the world. There is no need in this day and age to not be able to get what you need in France directly.

Please note to list the parts as used is illegal and will not be done by any legitimate company. Nor would I recomend it to anyone to do it on their own.

For everyones safety it would be best for you to shop on line. There are a lot of scammers out there you know!

I deal with exporting auto parts daily world wide. Note that often postal shipments are not always subjected to additional taxes and duties. Often they are passed through in many countries with out any additions. Now UPS etc are all sent through and usally get the tax and duty added along with a brokerage fee. The company you plan to deal with will also help you chose the cheapest methoed.

Unless it is over size the priority mail is your best option.

Many of the companies also offer many other languages including French to make shopping easier if you need to call.

Yeah...it just sounds a little fishy. If he knows how to get them, why can't he?
