I have noticed that when the sunlight is from the rear, there are what looks
like fine scratches in the glass of my outside mirrors.

This is ONLY when bright sunlight is from the rear. Looks like steel wool scratches.

I showed them to the dealer and he said that if both mirrors were the same,
then it was what it was...

I cannot see them normally, unless I shade the mirror and use a bright flashlight.

Anyone else...?????

P.S. The mods I did this weekend went SO much smoother, thanks to all of the valuable advise I recieved from the members here.....

 

I have not noticed anything. If it doesn't hinder using the mirrors, I wouldn't worry about it to much.

 

My mirrors have similar fine scratches which appear to have a more or less circular pattern. I never did consider it a problem as they can barely be seen and I'm pretty sure that bringing it up with my service department and GM is useless.
