Hello! So I picked up an 06 HHR, and am turning it into a pick up by chopping the back top off. All the interior panels came off with just a little muscle, but glass is a different story. I've always paid a glass specialist when chopping tops before, but this isn't a normal chop. Anyone have some pointers on getting the glass out with out using a hammer? I was hoping I could give it away here if some one needs it, or give it to a scrapper for replacement glass. Shattered glass scares me.

I'm about to just dig out the seal and see what happens, but if anyone has pulled out the glass from the back door, and rear compartment a pointer or two would rock my world.

 

Piano wire, with key chain rings. Cut the seal around the window with it.

 

sadly no Piano wire around here, but plenty of old guitar strings. I'll rig it up and with a high E and give it a shot. Thanks for the tip!
