Missing Spare...Missing Flat Tire Kit

Having driven 200 miles with my wife and daughter and getting flat on I95 in GA I popped the trunk only to realize that of all things...no spare tire and no flat repair kit.

We had to sleep 10 hours in the car at midnight to 10am in order to get a tow and a new tire for the front right.

So my question is... What cars share the same spare tire (doughnut) as the HHR?

I know the Cobalt does but anything else that might? I tried a Cavalier but no luck.

Any ideas would be great... THANK YOU!

Dealer needs to know about the missing kit. Maybe out of customer service they will give you a spare and spare mounting hardware for your troubles.

The spare tire and jack kit was an extra option and had an option code when ordered:

2010 Chevrolet HHR Package & Option List:
ZAG: Spare Tire and Wheel - $100
Spacesaver steel rim internal spare wheel

If you opted out of the spare, the can of sensor safe Fix-a-Flat and mini compressor were standard.

He should have at least had that in there.

Yes I ordered my 2011 with the proper spare instead of the Fix-a-Flat/dinky compressor combo, but when it came in there was no spare and nothing else either. The dealer robbed another HHR for the spare, jack, and assorted other bits. You might have one like mine that got missed on the assembly line, but your dealer messed up by not catching it in new car prep, so they are obliged to make it right.

Seems to be a common thing. take from one to sell another..

My panel came with mini spare tire, jack etc.. the fix it kit & mini compressor. Which works very well, had to air up & plug one of wifeys previous tires at her work..

Well hopefully they did remember to replace the bits stolen from the maroon HHR to make mine complete, but if you live in the Charlotte Metroplex and are missing the spare from your new 2011 HHR LS....I'm sorry, don't hit me, the dealer didn't put them back.. honest....cowers in fear.

So again to ask my question:

Does anyone know what size mini spare I can get at the Junk Yard that will fit the car?

I went yesterday and grabbed a Cavalier spare and it doesn't fit. I know the Cobalt will fit but is there anything else?

Plenty of HHR's to choose from in the Yards. Find one and grab the spare.

Here a list from Roadkill Customs Mike, just click the link below. The vehicles listed share the 5 X 110mm bolt pattern used on HHR's, the compact spares should/might fit, I'd look for a Cobalt, Saturn, or Saab first.

You're dealer should make this right for you, but if you're jammed up out on the road, I hope this helps you out.
