OK here's what UV (blacklight) looks like. I actually think you'd hate it, because even though you can't see it in my picture, every tiny piece of dust is glowing like a lightening bug!

I have a Radio Shack really close, going to go and remove the bulb now and take it with me. The white bulb in there now is to do darn bright, even if I turn down the interior lights. I think I will try and get a blue one if I can.

I think Chevy used this method because it is probably simpler/cheaper than backlighting many of the buttons and stuff on the center stack.

I like backlit but don't mind the compromise.

Also, don't get me started on the weird place they put the window switches. I'm 6'3" and have to lean/hunch to get to them.

No Way am I changing that bulb, I used a foam sticker with a small hole in it, works great.
