#11
Let me know how it goes. I've been using the same flash since i got mine and have always just added/removed folders etc. I did try and format it once then reloaded which resulted in no difference so im sure its the radio

I have been reading and experimenting. We have a Chevy MyLink technology. The information out there appears inaccurate though.
Some say change the name of the flash drive and it will create a new cache on the radio. In my case, this is false.
I tried using a different flash drive. I had no change in the ability to sort files by song title (with same artist and album info in id3v1 and id3v2).
So, there are few possibilities, in my mind. 1. The song is stored on the radio based on the checksum of the file -- this seems unlikely for the checksum would change if the id3 changed, but perhaps there is a strange variation used to generate the checksum. 2. The documentation is wrong about sort order and additional id3 fields are used and a null of some field creates an error 3. Does it adhere to id3 standards, gets an error and fails.
Anyone know how to lookup the firmware version and see if there is an update?
