These cars were casualties of the 1953 Flint, Michigan tornado. The cars were parked in the Beecher school parking lot.

Is the one on the front row, left side, a Desoto?

1950 Ford

The front row car, on the left of the photo, is a 1950 Ford.

More later.

I think it is a 49. If I rember correctly the 50 had two bullets on the grill. The 49 had one.

I think I see a couple Chevies in the group, and in the third row back, near the tree to the left. I think it's a '42 or '46 Lincoln.

the one two over from yhe fFord, is that a late 40's Chrysler? On the second row on the right next to the last Chevy looks like na Plymouth. My uncle had one that looked like it with what i think he called it a fluid drive. Last time I saw it was in 65.

The 3rd car from the '49 Ford looks like a pickup but all the cars are so wrecked it is hard to tell. I have other pictures and I'll try to find them.

New pic

If you look closely you can see a 49-50 Mercury wrapped around this tree.

The first car to the left in the second row really looks like a Triumph Mayflower, but they were rare even in England.

And as challenging as identifying the cars is, let's not forget that 116 people lost their lives in that tornado, with another 844 seriously injured.

Living in a tornado prone state makes you shudder when you see such terrible destruction, and being a NC resident means I've seen a few bad ones, and that's on top of the hurricanes.
