GM screwed up with their recycled beer can sheetmetal. The "beauty bar" is clearly designed as a handle. Using this handle shouldn't bend the sheetmetal when a reasonable person closes the door in a reasonable manner. Having said that... I use the license plate area... because I know GM screwed up.

Some users may experience considerable blood loss when using this handle... since it's on the inside of the gate when closed.
