I am hoping someone can help me....
The company I manage has a 2011 Chevrolet HHR as a work car. We have maintained the car regularly and never had an issue (I believe it was purchased approximately 2014). We were told the fuel lines had rusted. We had the fuel lines replaced. The problem we are having though is that the connection from the fuel pump to the lines is leaking. The shop that we use to maintain the car says they called the dealer and the part needed is no longer made. I don't know if that is accurate or not.
I did research after the shop said the dealer doesn't have the part and purchased this aftermarket kit: https://moderndaymuffler.com/product...word=QFF0015SS
When I ordered the kit, I asked if the kit includes all connections necessary including to gas tank (the shop described the part leaking as the part that connects to the gas tank). I was told that it does include all parts for the fuel system.
I provided the kit to the shop and they told me this kit is just the fuel lines and does not include the piece that is leaking. In the picture, the silver metal is the new fuel lines. It apparently links to the black line on the right. I was told that the "connector" doesn't fit and they tried to wrap it but it still leaks. Can someone please help me to get the parts needed so that we can use the HHR?

The fuel line to the tank has a female quick connect fitting It appears in your photo that piece is missing where the gear clamp is. Dorman has those available to replace that 3/8 connection

Regarding your answers, am I understanding correctly that I do not need the nylon kit from inlinetube.com (though that would have been the correct kit to purchase initially) and just the Dorman adapter listed in the Dormanproducts.com link?

repairs like this really make me mad! the car should have never left the repair shop like this. Glad you got it fixed correctly !
If you can’t do it right the first time, put your tools down and stop what you’re doing, research the repair and memorize the process to fix the issue.
Hi, so I have a follow up issue where the car won't start sometimes. It happened right after the Dorman adapter part was installed and the shop looked at it and said they did something and it is good now.
I then had the car brought to the shop where we normally have it maintained (the "regular" shop won't do fuel line work due to insurance; at least that is what they told me). I had them check all work done and they said everything looked good with the exception of the fuel line from the fuel pump to the dorman adapter. They said the fuel line was not OEM/original and that it didn't seem to have the same fuel pressure rating as the OEM original. They didn't observe any leaks though. Well, the car won't start again with a technician out in the field about 45 miles from our office. I am getting the car towed back. I am planning to order the OEM fuel pump line to eliminate that issue. Is there anything else that should be double-checked? Does anyone know the part number to order for the fuel line? Is the fuel line to the fuel pump still made?
