IMO, You're upgrading, maybe not in years but..........
The thing you're contending with is trade-in value against retail.
Never the twain shall meet.
Sounds like a good deal if it makes you happy!

You would really be losing out on the warranty. 06 only had 3/36.

If you will be $1250 happier with the moonroof, subwoofer, etc then take the deal. If you love your current HHR and want to spend $500 on stereo and chrome accessories then don't take the deal.

Pretty much all about whether you will regret not taking the '06 or if you'll regret staying in the '08.

The orange one also has the 2.4L and a subwoofer in the hatch. Is this a good deal? I question going down 2 years, but I do put on a lot of miles and see it as a gain in value. Opinions please!!!
I might as well join in with the free advice - but a different tact.

If you like to do it, offer at least $1000 less and be sure to nail the dealer down on any other fees. If there are allow for them.

Make the offer, go home and see if he comes after you. He might say not likely and he'll have to check with his manager. Give it a week. Don't be rushed.

I don't know. You are giving up a lot with the warranty.

Edmunds says the 06 2LT is worth about $14,800 for a certified used from a dealer and your 08 LS is worth about $14,200.

Edmunds also says that the 08 SOM 2LT I just bought is worth $16,800 and I got it for $11,700 so take those with a grain of salt.

The better performance of a 2.4 makes it worth in my book. I ordered a1LT w/2.4 after comparing 2.2 &2.4 perf.
