New 2 me 06 LT
I am a newbie HHR owner here. Just sold my 07 Tahoe ( sad day ) and picked up an 06 LT. The kids are off to school and I am recently divorced so the Tahoe was not the right ride for me anymore. My dad bought the HHR new and sold it in 08 with 32,000 miles on it. We had the chance to buy it back but it now it has 93,000 miles on it and has not been cared for very well. I am in the process of cleaning it up so I can make it my daily driver. I will be a regular on here learning about these things. I have always been a V8 guy (94 Impala SS, 06 Trailblazer SS and 07 Tahoe) so the 4 banger is a big adjustment for me. I do like the fuel economy now that the prices are on the rise.

Once you get it back in nice shape it should last you alot more miles.
I too was a V-8 and the smallest I ever had was the 4.3 Vortec V-6's in my Astro vans, so I know how you feel about the 4 banger.
