Bentley will be determined when he is full grown. He wil prob be a large toy small mini.(based on what the parents are)

^^if you scroll down toward the bottom it shows all the recognition that they can have. there is no AKC because they have been around long enough.
Regular size Aussie's didn't even get considered to be AKC until 93... but they were in ACSA (in 1957) until they protested it and got accepted into AKC in 93..

No one even started to "create" a Mini/Toy until 1968 ..
There is alot of information to be found.. But no where on AKC have I found to be able to register Mini's... YES they can be sold for quite a bit in the their own rights... I looked into paying 1300 for one, but i decided I don't need to breed just yet, and would rather just have a best friend.

And some people breed incorrectly like doing merle to merle (which can cause lethal whites) and some breed for eye color, and not just one the "proper" disposition and bone structure that comes with an aussie.. ALOT of dogs are overpriced but eh, it's the dog world.

I'm not trying to be mean or nothing. :) I just like reading about animals and sharing and educating others :)

HAPPY NEW YEARRR btw
I really knew little of the Mini's till were searching for a breeder. You are correct they can not be registered I think there is no clear agreement on if they should be or not by the AKC.

I noted a great deal of hostillity on some web sites toward the Mini Aussie breeders from the standard breeders,

they sounded like they don't get along and agree on breeding? And they say car people can't get along?

I thought about a mini but decided to go full size since that was what we were used to.

I just want a good dog and a good family pet. I miss my old shadow and love my new one. Though Potty training this time of year is dang cold!

I also found how much it cost to breed females for registered pups. That is a lot of work and money responsibility to do it right. I can see where unless your a established breeder it would be hard to make money. It's not just have puppys and sell them!

Oh! To keep this on HHR topic.

HHR's Make Great Vehicles to Transport Austrailian Sheppards! Plenty of room to carry them!

KC is in the back. It is not worth crashing to put him in the driver seat.

Just Too much puppy to do that. Besides he would want to chew on the wheel.
