New to this forum

Hi everyone,

I have had my HHR now for almost 2 months, but I just haven 't been able to get on the internet because I am from Slidell, LA. If you don't know where that is...let's just say it's east of New Orleans. We were hit pretty hard here from Katrina, which I guess is the reason I had to get a new car (if you can turn a negative into any sort of positive). I've got 4200 miles on it now, and it is such a great driving experience. Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know I will be around when I can. Thanks

Hi and welcome. Yeah I heard of Slidell it was mentioned alot actally on the news. The last that I saw which was a few months ago that your town was mostly underwater. Then again the Media has a way showing its side of view. Are you still living out there? Was your house, family, job effected by what occured.

Welcome! What vehicle did you lose that caused you to get a HHR? Hopefuly you didn't have any problems with your insurance company.

Yea, I was affected pretty good. We had 3 feet of water in my house and some wind damage on the roof. We also lost 3 cars, so now we picked up an Equinox and the HHR. My previous car was a mustang....so slightly different from the HHR but both are cool to drive.
