Hi everyone,

I have had my HHR now for almost 2 months, but I just haven 't been able to get on the internet because I am from Slidell, LA. If you don't know where that is...let's just say it's east of New Orleans. We were hit pretty hard here from Katrina, which I guess is the reason I had to get a new car (if you can turn a negative into any sort of positive). I've got 4200 miles on it now, and it is such a great driving experience. Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know I will be around when I can. Thanks

Hi and welcome. Yeah I heard of Slidell it was mentioned alot actally on the news. The last that I saw which was a few months ago that your town was mostly underwater. Then again the Media has a way showing its side of view. Are you still living out there? Was your house, family, job effected by what occured.

Yea, I was affected pretty good. We had 3 feet of water in my house and some wind damage on the roof. We also lost 3 cars, so now we picked up an Equinox and the HHR. My previous car was a mustang....so slightly different from the HHR but both are cool to drive.
