New HHR Driver

Hello there. So I just purchased an HHR LT 2006 model and I just have so many questions. But I'll start with this one. What the hell is that little blue light for, the one coming from a little whole in the ceiling of the car? And does the car simply have no form of lighting for the front passengers other than the lights attached to the internal rearview mirror?

Hi 123. You got it. The light will help you find the misplaced window switches in the dark.

Welcome to the site.

I think someone once referred to that light as an "ambiance" light.

They are quirky little wagons...but very endearing.
Welcome to the site and enjoy your new ride! :)

to the forum!

Yup, that's what us "Oldsters" call the Mood Light, but as stated above, it just provides illumination to the center stack and the window switches.

It's one of those "HHR Quirks" that set these trucklets apart from the crowd.

I like having that light. It lets me know when my headlights are on when it is still daylight out.
