I don't know Flammin HHR....

The image of a SS HHR pulling a 3500# trailer, just seems WRONG, IMO

So, basically, when you get to the point, if you want to tow more than 1,000 lbs., you just have to get a vehicle more suitable for towing. That blows...

All-season tires wouldn't make a difference. Lower profile or shorter sidewall tires have lower payload capacity, period.

The power/torque equation also makes little difference in this application. The HHR's monocoque unit-body structure is the weak point in the towing equation. You simply can't tow more than the manufacturer recommends without running a serious risk of damaging the structure of the vehicle.

.

I'm quite sure an SS will tow less than an LS/LS version and not only because of sports tires, The SS will get a TURBO engine and if you tow you'll overuse or abuse your turbo so i'm pretty sure an SS version will not allow to tow, just my

I guess victory red with red or black interior might have to do. Why isn't leather offered? I would think that would be standard on a high end model.
I can't BELIEVE they won't make the SS in bright yellow!

I just can't believe it! They made a PT Turbo special ed. in yellow, so maybe that's what it will take.. a special "Spring Edition" or something for the SS, maybe in '08.

This would look so HOT!

well to each their own...
PT turbos came in a special edition yellow. I thought it was the best color for PT's I'd ever seen at the time...

actually a lot of people on this board agreed with me that hot rod yellow would be a great choice for an HHR... check out the poll... .
