on the circuit board the RS button connects the lock and panic contacts. All doors must be locked hood must be closed, must have AP3 on the RPO label. If it is not on the label you need to do the grounding.

What that does is to tell the computer that you have a switch on your hood latch. So you can look at the hood latch look for a cable going to it in the front not the back that is the impact sensor.

I installed a dedicated USB port in the console by the cup holders today and while i was in there i went ahead and did the purple wire ground thing. My car does not have the AP3 code but does have "remote start - on" in the DIC. With hood and doors closed i hit lock button once (doors lock) then hit lock/panic and some dash lights come on briefly and something cycles in the back of the car (sounds fuel pump-ish) but then all cycles off but no attempt to start is made by the car. Going to read up on the thread a bit more, car does not seem to have any other issues with the wire grounded so i assume i did the right one. Purple one third over from the far right on the top row in that blue multi gang plug.

nope, that didnt work (thanks tho). When it does cycle the pump briefly the dash lights that come on are the CEL, pass airbag off warning light and the little orange light on the outside air button by the heater fan control knob (all just for a second or two). Then they go off but the orange lock light (i am guessing security warning??) on the far left bottom of gauge cluster flashes every couple of seconds till i key it on and off. . . . otherwise still starts and runs fine as normal. I'm also not necessarily sure it did any of that before the purple wire thing, i am going to un hook it tomorrow and see if it still does.

nice find, I like the color, I wasnt sure if I would on a panel, but it definitely looks good.
I picked up an 08panel almost a year ago and am highly impressed with it, but yes, the huge blindspot does take some getting used too
and I ,also, have not had to hide a body... yet, although it was a close call a few weeks ago lol

i've owned the thing all of two days and i like it more each time i drive it . . . . the PT i dis-liked more each time i drove it lol. I had an 06 Indy pace car Vette that was this same color and when i saw they came in Atomic Orange (Sunset on the HHR) thats what i had to have. When i re paint this i may do a true ghosted flame job or something. The color is great in the sun

anybody want a bug guard? its free just gotta pick it up or pay postage, took it off today didnt much care for it

BTW, a 2008 has a problem with the RCDLR forgetting itself if you leave the battery disconnected for more than a short time. The TPMS will display --- and you wil not be able to reset the TPM positions. The only solution is updated firmware.

Someone with access to GM computers needs to do the update. May have been done previously, if the tire pressures start acting funny you will knowe
RemoteControlDoorLockReceiver it also receives the tire pressure data and remote start signal.
TPMS TirePressureMonitoringSystem
TPM TirePressureMonitors
