Welcome eh, i don't have any fancy stuff on my hhr , got a manual tranny cos i never learned to drive auto, Not a fan of traction or abs...i prefer to be in charge of the traction and the braking, wouldn't mind the sun roof though, they are good for drive by water gunning...
Yeah I've heard the argument about being in control many a time...maybe I'm better than tc/abs maybe not but I can say in poor weather I'd rather not have to worry about it so much...plus with my wife being the primary driver she definitely prefers the driving aids Thanks for the idea of drive by water gunning I'll have to make sure to try that out this summer

Thanks...you may have a bit of trouble finding a new DSM as the color was discontinued in the US...although for 08 there is a new 'Techno Gray' that may be close, we'll have to wait and see. The bike is an 06 Suzuki Bandit 1200S...I have a Muzzy full exhaust, HoleShot jet kit and ignition advancer on it so its putting out around 115RWHP and 80ft/lbs of torque...its no where near as fast as a litre class sport bike but it sure is comfy and and pulls like a freight train from just off idle

Thanks for all of the welcome's folks!!!

I'm sure sales will pick up around the Edmonton area. I had one of the very first in Calgary back in Sept 05 and for the first year I saw very few on the streets and at the dealers but lately they have blossomed. I'm sure the same will happen in Edmonton although things are always a little slower in Edmonton.

I'm sure the Flames appreciate your support, it must be tough for you to say that (unless you're a displaced Calgarian.) It's too bad the Flames have played so poorly this month when it really starts to matter. Oh well, maybe they will win the cup next year.

I expect that there'll be quite a few more driving around Edmonton...they're a decent car at a good price point...great for small families.

I'm more a displaced Victorian but have called Edmonton home for a couple of decades now...a lot of Calgarians supported the Oilers for their run last year so I have no problem supporting the Flames...they're not out of it yet Maybe next year we could see an Calgary vs Edmonton Western final...now that would be an emotional series

Welcome to site!

Hey, there can still be a Sens vs. Flames or Canucks final! Wouldn't that make Bettman happy!

BTW why can't Calgary score? Win one for the Kipper!

Hey Kris, it could happen but it won't. I've determined that the NHL and the stanley cup is rigged by Bettman. They've been letting the small market clubs win to drive up attendance. They know that support will always be there in the Canadian markets so they don't worry about those guys not winning the cup. My prediction at the beginning of this year was either Nashville or Columbus. Nashville is in there but Columbus isn't but maybe next year.

Look at the recent history with Carolina and TBay winning.

So, maybe there is no truth behind this but who knows. Everyone loves a conspiracy theory every now and then.

It's too bad I'm going to be away for the next three weeks. I'm going to miss watching all the playoff action. Good thing I'll be back for the Stanley Cup.

James,

Mine is orange - hope to see you out there. I saw a white one this morning driven by a long haired girl, obviously not you.

I factory ordered it from Wheaton's - they had the best deal by far.

I almost bought an 'Optimum Used' vehicle from them...I thought about a factory order as well but came across the one I bought from Stettler which was very close to what I would have ordered and didn't have to wait...turns out that some of the things I wouldn't have ordered I really like...XM for instance
