Smile The new Mrs. 843de mobile...

Well she finally found an HHR! Just got back from doing the transfer and plates, etc. We saw this little guy yesterday while out cruising in the SS, just sitting by the Food Lion with a "For Sale" sign in the window, looking kinda lonely too.

First off, the bad news for some of you, its not a panel and its not an SS. But its the color she initially wanted and its pretty nice both inside and out. So here you go, the new Spousemobile, a 2006 LS in black with the cashmere interior(84,000 miles on the clock). With the exception of the Automatic trans/ABS combo, its about as base as they came, so lots of room for Michelle to modify her heart out. The best part was it we got it for $5,500 before tax and tags so she really didn't dent her budget, and its tight as a drum and runs like a champ. First off will be new tires, its still on the original Affinity's and they are down almost to the wear bars, and hard as rocks.

Here's a pic from this morning, it was freshly washed yesterday, that's genuine Carolina pollen all over it, sneeze!

Wow, after all the Panel talk, I'm surprized she settled.

Congrats on the windowed HHR tho.

I "settled" 2 times when buying my Astro vans, Black were pretty Rare for them. (If I had found one when I was looking, i'd most likely still be driving it and not my Panel.)

This time around when looking for my HHR Panel I decided to Refuse on settling and just keep looking until I found the one I wanted, it HAD to be Black, and it HAD to be a Panel, with the options I wanted, or I wasn't interested in it at all.
Luckily I found mine within a month, a 2LT Panel in my area, and bought it.

Just kinda surprized she did not end up with at least a Panel. Sounded like she really wanted one.

Well I think it was more of just her deciding that this was the "right" one more than anything, she commented when we first spotted it that it looked "lonely". I'm just glad she's happy with her new toy, and when she's happy, I'm happy.

I also think her "panelitis" cooled a bit after looking at so many and finding that at least around the Carolinas, they come in two flavors. Either overpriced, or overworked, or both. She's already decided it would look great with gold Skunk stripes and some nice chrome alloys, and I think she's only getting started.

Well actually I'm breathing a big sigh of relief Greybeard, because I seem to have this set of Euromax 612's in chrome sitting in the storage room at my office. Do you think I should give out her birthday present early this year?

16 X 7's Greybeard, I tried to come up with a set of 17's but they're thin on the ground.
