New owner here

Well I will be when I pick it up. I just went and looked at a 2009 with 18,100 on it. I had serious doubts about such low mileage being 5 years old. Well the old couple that was selling it was selling it for a friend. The owner was the husband of the old lady they were selling it for. He died 3 years ago. For some reason they even had a copy of the death certificate. This guys name on the title with them having rights of attorney. Looked it over and it looks new. Drove it and all good. I've never driven one before so it was all new to me. So I ended up with a 2009 HHR LS for $8300. Aqua blue. Now I wish it had alloy wheels instead of covers but I think I got a like new car for a deal. With two kids who need braces and college, I'm happy.

Well slightly early, and getting a good deal means you can always pick up a set of alloys down the road.

Welcome to the site, nice but sad deal!! May I suggest that if it has sat for 3 years, change all the fluids, engine oil, trans fluid and filter, flush and bleed the brake fluid, and it is 5 years old so yes the Dexcool in the rad too!! and you will be ready for a long ownership in a very cool HHR.

I'll get pictures as soon as I can. These people are so nice they will bring it down to my house. I can get them the check tomorrow, but I told them whichever evening that would work for them. I could not pay for it today Sunday. Actually it has not just sat undriven. The wife of the guy did drive it some but she had another car and they also let the lady who helped sell it drive it from time to time. Although I will go through all the fluids and such. I just could not help myself as my last 3 vehicles have been blue. I thought it was an awesome deal. It's about time I had some good luck.
