New TPM Reprogram?

I have bought my winter wheels with new TPMs. My question is> When I put my winters on, will the sensors in my new TPMs be able pick up a reprogram with my remote or would I have to go in to the Dealership to have them done? Anyone have any info on this? ChevyMgr?

TPMs in the tires only send a signal, it is picked up by the receiver mounted on the car, that will have to be reprogramed to recognize the new sensors.
You can do the reprogram yourself, it's in the owner's manual.

Just follow the procedure in the manual. I put on aftermarket wheels with new sensors and it programmed them without a problem. Be patient, you have to wait for the horn to beep to make sure it picked up the sensor.

Tom I know about the reprogram, I was just wondering if the new TPMs would be recognized by the receiver.

If they are brand new then everyone is correct they will have to be programmed and yes as long as they are the correct sensor the RCDLR will recognize them.

If you are using the same sensors in your old tires and wheels you can bypass the programming by putting each sensor in the same location they were removed from.
