OBD II port
Does anyone have the wiring information on the OBD II port? My wife's 2009 has no power coming to the port. The scanner will not turn on. I checked the scanner on 10 and it turned on correctly. The wiring diagrams in the Haynes manual does not have a complete diagram, and none of the diagrams that they have show the OBD II port. It could be just a fuse, any ideas?

Somebody put a cigar lighter element in the 12V accessory outlet and blew the fuse.

Thanks all. A blown fuse. The only things that has ever been plugged in to the socket are a cell phone charger, GPS and a small rechargeable flashlight that stays in all the time. The flashlight has been in for several years as has the one in my car. I don't know what caused it to blow. I swapped 29 and 30, I will pick up some spares today. In the 7 years on the wife's and almost 7 years on mine this is the first blown fuse. I have some blade fuses around here some where but I have no idea where, the best way to find them is to buy some more.
Thanks all |
If this is the first blown fuse, there should be spares in at least one of the fuseboxes. I wonder how long it's been since your flashlight was charged(since the fuse blew).

RJ. You mean spare fuses like the ones in Oldblues picture ?
I've always kept a small box of spares in all my vehicles just in case. I used to pull various trailers and occasionally would blow a fuse. Attachment 22086 |
There are spares on the BCM along with another tool.
