Guess I am S**T out of luck since none of the 4 listed are available in Newfoundland.
ESSO gas used to be known as one of the dirtiest fuels in the country.

You don't have Shell or Petro-Canada stations in Newfoundland? Never knew that.

The info on TV about additives in a specific brand of Gas does not apply here. Due to the Smog Content, we burn a special fuel called "Georgia Gas" that is supposed to give you less MPG, and less emissions.
That is the wrong info. There is a difference in the gas, it is in the additives that comes from the refiner. All of the gas for a region is made for that region and piped to a distribution center where the additives are added. then it is trucked to the stations. Non Top Tier gas has no additives. I worked for MFA or Marathon for quite awhile. BTW it wouldn't be the first time a TV station aired the wrong info and did not fix their story. What we all need to be aware of is how recent the gas stations tanks have been purged of the water in their tanks and had the sediment removed.

Yeah, I thought the list would be interesting to post. Where I live Shell is the only one from the list we have. But I tend to buy BP or Marathon. I don't buy the super cheapo discount gas, try to stay with name brands. The Shell stations are always higher than BP/Amoco and Marathon/Ashland.

P.S. The STP additive hype @ Marathon is all BS. Its not even actual STP additives. But its probably better than nothing.

What, no Circle K, Tom Thumb, or Raceway? What brand does Sam's Club sell?

Sorry, but I buy the cheapest gas I can find and I try to always buy from the same station as the owner's manual suggests. The only time I don't follow this rule is when I'm on a long trip. I've never had problems with gas from any of these stations in any of my vehicles. I must be lucky!

All of these are reseller's. they use the cheapest gas available. ie without any detergent additives. Not sure where sams is from but i'll bet it is from the same pipes.
