It was stated in black and white, unless you changed your font color.

I usually use HESS gas but I had to fuel up at Exxon or I wasn't gonna make it home. My fuel milage from Exxon was 19mpg, with Hess I usually get between 26 and 32.

I use a mix of brands. Hess, Cheveron, Sam's Club, BP, RaceTrac, usually where I'm at and looking at the price. When many top tier brands are ten to fifteen cent higher than Elcheapo and 93 octane is twenty cents more than that, I'd need to see a 5-10% better gas milage to justify the additional gas cost.

Since I'm averaging a tad over 30 mpg with the mixed driving I do, I'd need to see an average of 32-34 mpg. I'm sure the oil industry would love to add that additional twenty cents per gallon to their bottom line by convincing every one to use the 93 octane with no real benefit to the consumer.

I try to boycott Citgo (Venezuela subsidiary) unless I'm really low on gas and on the road in strange areas. But my GPS system can find any station while I'm on the road.

Sorry about the pointless back and forth everybody. Back to the topic of top tier gas and what it does and does not do

But I guess an internet "study" and deside who you buy your gas from.

Reminds me of the phrase, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen".

Glad that's off my chest.
