I bet the left lo beam fuse is blown.

Note the peculiar wiring.

Welcome.

Details. Which one "doesn't" work ? And which one did you change ?
Your post only says the right one works both night and day. And I'll assume we're talking about headlights ?
And what year is this HHR ? There is a difference in the systems DRL's, depending on year.

George,

Details and Common sense seemed to have vanished in this newer generation.

I sell stuff on Craigslist and E Bay and you would not believe some of the conversations I have.
A lot of it is laughable but in reality kind of sad.

You don't say if you are referring to the headlights. But if your right headlight works and the left does not, check the headlight fuses. But expect that the bulb needs replacement. Make sure that the O-ring is not stuck in the housing. Do not touch the bulb, only touch the plastic base of the bulb.

This is why they sell H13 bulbs in pairs, cause they usually burn out that way.

Is there a problem with the wiring diagram I posted in #2? Other than the yellow wire being hard to see, I even highlighted the wire in question.

It pretty clearly shows that if the left lo beam fuse is blown only the DRL on the left will work in daylight, when the headlights turn on the DRL turns off; the right headlight is on the left DRL is off.

I.E.: only left headlight on in daylight, right headlight only at night.

No problem with the diagram Don. Great info and explanation.

Me. I'm just waiting for the OP to clarify their question. Hard to tell if they mean headlights or other lights.
