Ouch!
Ouch!
I was able to get slowed down due to traffic on an interstate suddenly coming to a stop practically....the truck coming behind me wasn't so lucky, he looked up just in time to pull it to the right and nail my back corner. He ended up sideways in the interstate but thankfully no injuries. Not sure what insurance is going to say about this as far as cost, 145,000 miles, hail damage....they may just total it out for all I know.
1st glad everyone is ok!!
2ND "Looked up" just in time ?........Hmmm sounds like he may have been one of those mobile electronic device users that has forgotten what the front left seat is named for.
And its not personal assistant.

The most important thing is that you're OK.
If the doors on that side open and close properly, and there are no obvious buckles in the roof, it may live to roll again.
But based on experience, you're looking at both inner and outer quarter panels, a hatch, rear bumper cover and impact absorbing substructure, just for starters.
If the hatch opens, look at the spare tire well and floorpan, if they're distorted things may not be so good.

I'm going to suggest DON'T open it. Hard to tell from pics. May not close again. Driving with tailgate stuck open will suck exhaust back in. Let the insurance adjuster have the honours.
You will want to empty your toys before you turn it in for repair anyway just go in from side doors to get at rear spare area.
Thanks guys, I watched him the whole time in my rear view mirror...getting closer and closer, and speed remaining the same...I was literally counting down to the point of impact. Of course he came out with a scuffed bumper and a blinker light burnt out, not broke at all.
Thanks for all the info!
Lawagz, the photos do resemble one another quite a bit, to bad he hit my hatch too!
Hope to hear something tomorrow, the other guy has some off the wall insurance company, at least one I had never heard off, Penn Miller? Maybe it's well known but I work for an insurance company and had never heard of it.

Penn Millers, IIRC, is a holding company with a spin to insurance. GM Corp. used them for about 1 year as their auto liability carrier (low bid
).
Oh, and as the name implies, they are out of Penn. I believe Wilkes-Barre, which is where my family is from originally.

I had no problem with distortions or bent frame - had it checked thoroughly before and after - good job on the repair - these are the "after" pics - I actually bought the car with the damage (had it checked beforehand) and talked them down on the purchase cost for cost of repair which came of my pocket.
