they where going to, but i ended up wrecking it the day it was going into the shop to get fixed. It was totalled out, so we are on the second one now, with 3100 trouble free miles, and yes im knocking on wood right now.

I got mine back with a new hood, paint and graphics so I am ready until the next stupid deer walks along.

Don't be so quick to jump on a new-comer. This problem is not the same as the one that has been discussed for so long. This is an area of the vehicle that should never have paint problems. This sounds like a paint adhesion problem just like from the late 80's.

Mine has several chips in the hood. They are between the grill and headlights, left and right sides of the grill. It sucks when you are driving down the freeway and hear the chips occuring. I don't see how it would be warranteed due to it being normal wear and tear.

left of fender/bumper cover joint, next to grill, and also along the edge of hood @ bottom right

the one along the edge of hood is the worst.....

No I haven't. I only have 6000 mi so far, so I figured that I could wait awhile to see if anyone else can get this covered under warranty. As I posted before, it looks like it would be normal wear and tear.
